4 Great Cafés in Barcelona

Published by klogie on

Sitting in a nice, cozy café on rainy days is something I cherish. I can sit with a good book and read, or my computer and work. While sipping a nice hot mug of coffee con leche, or any other warm beverage. Maybe if I’m feeling a little wild, I will grab a chocolate covered croissant or a slice of cake. Here are 5 of my favorite cafés in Barcelona.

Café de Altaïr

The first time I stepped into Café de Altaïr, I didn’t know it was a café. It was only after going downstairs did I find the hidden gem. Café de Altaïr is a cozy meeting place nestled on the lower floor of Altaïr Bookstore and is the perfect location for anyone that enjoys travel, books, and culture. I only spent an hour there, but my experience and the friendly staff will ensure my return. You can find this wonder Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes, 616, 08007 Barcelona

Café Adonis

Café Adonis is one of those places with soul and the special charm that attracts Café crazy people like me. Located in Gracia with 70 years of history it has a lot of heart and raw intrigue. The two levels, big windows, dark walls and all the other unique features make it a perfect blend of traditional and modern vibes. The food is great too.  Café Adonis brings together the perfect mixture of social, cultural and culinary ingredients and creates a magical environment that one could become addicted to.  Find them at Carrer de Bailèn, 188, 08037 Barcelona

Hule Bar

Hule is located close to the heart of Gracia, giving off local and welcoming vibes to all visitors. When you step through the front door, you are met with a rustic and air feel with exposed brick and big windows. The tables are made of refurbished wood. Everyone is friendly, and the food is great. Acting as a cafeteria in the morning, and a cocktail bar in the evening, Hule can fulfill any culinary desire. Meet up with friends and family and enjoy the food and good company at Carrer Bonavista, 608012 Barcelona

El Taller de Su Pan

I stumbled across this place one day when I walked by saw the pastries and was so hungry I just had to stop. At first glace, it seems like a stop in grab-and-go place. But I soon discovered a little nook with tables at the back of the little bakery cafe. With reclaimed brick, wood and antique decorations; this rustic cafe offer comfort and style.  They also offer sweet and savory treats and coffee pairings. You would find me here every morning if calories weren’t a thing.  Carrer de València, 455, 08013 Barcelona
